Kaduna Governor, Yero Concludes Campaign Rally

The Kaduna State Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, concluded his state-wide campaign tour on Saturday with a grand rally held in Zaria, his home Local Government Area.
Addressing a crowd of PDP supporters and party leaders during the rally, Governor Yero said that his administration had completed several projects within two years in office and also gave an assurance that he would initiate new ones if re-elected for another four years.
He also promised to consolidate on the provision of security of lives and property of the citizens across the state, as well as better economic policies that would create more jobs and also enable government to execute critical projects.
The Governor, who addressed the people in Hausa language, said that the present administration had made progress in the completion of the Zaria Regional Water project which had reached 90% completion as well as completed several roads, hospitals and schools across the 23 Local Government Areas of the State.
Thousands of supporters had lined the streets to welcome Yero and his entourage to the ancient city of Zaria.
The famous traditional horse riding was also part of the colourful reception accorded to the PDP candidate by the people of Zaria during the campaign tour.
Governor Yero was overwhelmed by the large turnout of supporters, who blocked all the major roads leading to the campaign ground.
From Zaria, the Governor’s campaign train moved to Sabon Gari where he made similar promises of better days ahead for the electorate.
In both Local Governments, the Governor held meetings with stakeholders including traditional leaders, religious leaders, women and youths, as part of his campaign for peaceful elections.
He also urged politicians to eschew desperation in the quest for power.

With the campaign rallies in Zaria and Sabon Gari Local Governments, Governor Yero has toured the entire 23 Local Government Areas of the state in his bid to win the April 11 governorship election in the state.
