APC candidates win Bauchi North District, Katagum Fed Constancy

The All Progressives Congress’ Bauchi North Senatorial District candidate, Suleiman Nazif, has won.
Declaring the result in Azare, the headquarters of the District on Monday, the Independent National Electoral Commission’s Returning Officer for the Senatorial election, Muhammed Adamu, said that Mr. Nazif polled 197, 919 votes, to beat his opponents, Faruq Mustapha, of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 97,047, and Okolo Jujiana of the NPPP who scored 974 votes respectively.
In another development, Ibrahim Muhammed-Baba of the APC has won the Katagum Federal Constituency House of Representatives election.
The Returning Officer for the House of Representatives election in the constituency, Mohammed Mohammed, said on Monday in Azare that Muhammed-Baba polled 38,151 votes, to defeat his opponent, Awalu Gwalabe of the Peoples’ Democratic Party who scored 23,535 votes.
He described the election as the “most peaceful, free, fair and orderly ever conducted in the country.”
