NigeriaDecides: Jonathan leads Buhari in Baylesa

President Goodluck Jonathan has taken the lead in the presidential election results released so far in his home state of Bayelsa.
Results for five states have been released so far, and in all, Mr. Jonathan thrashed his closest challenger, Muhammadu Buhari, of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Joseph Ajinka, a professor and vice chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, who is the state’s Collation Officer for the presidential election, told journalists on Monday in Yenagoa that results for Bayelsa State’s remaining three local government areas were yet to be collated.
He said the results of the Senatorial and House of Representatives elections would be announced after the presidential result.
Details of the presidential election in the five LGAs declared so far:
Kolokuma/Opokuma: total valid votes cast: 21, 070

Nembe: Total valid votes cast: 31,600
PDP 30,950, APC 557
Ekeremor: Total valid votes: 61,507
PDP 61,012 APC 374
Yenagoa: Total valid votes cast; 47,973

Ogbia: Total valid votes cast: 51,292
PDP 50,754 APC 214
