Jonathan wins presidential election in Akwa Ibom by a landslide

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Goodluck Jonathan has been declared winner of the disputed presidential election in Akwa Ibom state.
According to the result of the election released by INEC in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, Mr. Jonathan scored a total 953,304 votes while Mr. Buhari garnered 58,411 votes.
The governorship candidate of the APC in Akwa Ibom state, Umana Umana, has already petitioned INEC, demanding the cancellation of the election, saying the entire process was marred with irregularities.

Final Result: AA – 1,600; AD- 443; ACPN – 474; ADC- 608; APA – 384; CPP – 412; APC -58,411; HOPE -194; KOWA – 160; NCP – 381; PDP – 953,304; PDM – 327; UDP- 224; UPP – 144.
TOTAL VALID VOTES – 1,027,064
TOTAL REJECTED VOTES – 11,487
TOTAL VOTES CAST – 1,028,551
