The Nigerian President has met with a delegation of AU, Commonwealth and ECOWAS election observers at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Led by former President of Ghana, John Kufor, the groups are said to be at the Villa to give President Jonathan an update on their findings during the elections.
The AU and ECOWAS observers on Sunday commended the conduct of the Presidential and National Assembly elections, describing the exercise as largely peaceful and fair, and in agreement with standard democratic process.
Results from eight States and the Federal Capital Territory have been announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
