The National Orientation Agency (NOA) says it is seeking ways to upgrade its advocacy programmes on maintenance of peace across Nigeria.
The Director General of NOA, Mr Garba Abari, disclosed this on Tuesday at the presentation of the agency’s five-year strategic plan in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
He said the move is aimed at boosting the impact of the programmes which he said is already been felt in the north-east region.
Mr Abari noted that despite inadequate funds, the agency has recorded giant strides and will implement the new five-year plan to better promote Nigeria’s core values and attitudinal change.
He also announced a new initiative tagged: ‘Local Government Assembly’, a feedback platform to enable the NOA communicate government policies and programmes to rural dwellers more effectively.
