Juventus dumped a youthful Monaco out of the Champions League on Tuesday to reach the final of Europe’s biggest club football competition.
And the Serie A side built on that performance with a 2-1 win in the return leg to reach the Champions League final for the second time in three seasons.
Mario Mandzukic gave Juve the lead in the 33rd minute with an in-form Dani Alves doubling the lead in 45th minute.
The most defensive side in Europe could not however, stop the breakout star of this year’s Champions League, Kylian Mbappe, from pulling one back for Monaco.
His strike was unfortunately far from being enough to turn the tables around for the Ligue 1 side with Massimiliano Allegri’s men marching on with a 4-1 aggregate win.
Juventus will be chasing their first Champions League title since 1996 when they take to the pitch of the National Stadium of Wales in Cardiff on June 3, 2017 for the final.
They will take on the winners of Wednesday’s clash between Atletico Madrid and their city rivals Real Madrid.
Real Madrid hold a 3-0 lead from the first leg and should they reach the final, they would be looking to become the first side to win back-to-back Champions League titles.
