Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick on Tuesday night as Real Madrid beat Atletico in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final.
The Portuguese once again proved himself to be the man for the big occasion at Santiago Bernabeu when he gave title holders a powerful 3-0 advantage against their city rivals.
Real dominated the early proceedings, just as Ronaldo headed home in the 10th minute.
He later smashed home a second halfway, and completed his treble five minutes to the end of the game.
The four-time Ballon has become the first player to record three career trebles in the Champions League knockout stage.
He also went on level with Lionel Messi with his seventh hat-trick in the competition as a whole.
