The Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has organised a day workshop for party agents across the 178 electoral wards in the state.
The aim of the workshop was to educate party agents on their expectations before, during and after the 2015 general elections slated for March 28, 2015.
Declaring the workshop opened, the Chairman of the occasion, who is also the Coordinator of Buhari Campaign Organisation in the state, Tijjani Musa Tumsa, urged the selected agents to inculcate good electoral ethics which they would learn to the other agents across the state.
He said that this would go a long way in ensuring free and fair elections.
The former APC scribe said that the party was committed to ensuring peaceful elections at all levels and party agents according to him are instrumental to the realisation of the objective.
Tijjani Musa Tumsa, who informed them of the much desired change the APC has been yearning for, noted that such change would not be realised without their commitment to defending votes of the party.
He urged them to instruct lessons learned to other agents across the state and to eschew violence and controversy at all times particularly before, during and after the election.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, the Coordinator of Buhari Youth Organisation in the state, Bashir Bukar, thanked the Buhari and Ibrahim Gaidam Campaign Organisations for organising the workshop, saying it would go a long way in exposing party agents to the rigour of election procedures.
While giving an assurance that the workshop would assist in ensuring a hitch free exercise, he pledged that participants would extend knowledge acquired to other agents at the local levels.
Participants were drawn from the 17 council areas of the state with the expectation of holding similar session at the Local Government level.
The workshop, which exposed participants to their responsibilities as agents, also educated them on the card reader and how it would work during the election.

It also educated them on the various election procedures and how the agents can defend their votes at all polling stations.
