Voters accreditation peaceful in Ogun

premiumtimesng.com
The accreditation of voters was peaceful across various polling units in Ogun State, with thousands of voters showing eagerness to participate in the exercise.
At polling units visited by our correspondent, accreditation was seen going on peacefully and was on as at 1:00 p.m. at most centres.
The voters lists were pasted, while voters were also seen verifying their names.
There were, however, problems of malfunctioning card readers that failed to recognise voters’ fingerprints.
Majority of voters who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the accreditation, despite the shortcomings.
Speaking on the security situation in the state for the exercise, the Ogun Police spokesperson, Muyiwa Adejobi, said, “So far, the situation is under control, no violence, no crisis. People are conducting themselves very well and the exercise is going on peacefully.”
He appealed to voters to remain peaceful through the conduct of the voting exercise.
