The Adamawa State Governor says the dusk to dawn curfew that was to commence in the state from Sunday evening has been cancelled.
Governor Bala Ngilari, who spoke after being accredited for the governorship and House of Assembly elections, said that the decision was taken subsequent to the objections raised by several parties in the state.
He said that he has met with officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security officials before the curfew was cancelled.
Governor Bala, however, said that residents should go about their businesses, noting that security officials would be on ground to ensure absolute peace in the state.
