Kaduna – Kaduna State Governor-elect, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, on Sunday, expressed appreciation to the people of the state for the mandate given him to serve them.

El-Rufai, who addressed journalists at the APC secretariat in Kaduna shortly after he was announced winner of the election, called for prayers to enable the in-coming administration in the state to give the people the change they desired.

He, however, cautioned supporters of All Progressives Congress (APC), his political party, against excessive celebration, saying they should be moderate, peaceful and respect the rights of others. The governor-elect also appealed to the people to unite and work together in to take the state to the next level.

He promised that his government would be guided by the highest moral principles.
“I will not give any preference to the issue of indigene; anybody that lives in Kaduna would have equal right.

“We want to make Kaduna State an example of how Nigerians can live together as equal in peace and unity,” he said.
