Manchester United on Sunday at the Old Trafford recorded a big derby win as they defeated their fierce city rivals, Manchester City, 4-2 in a thrilling Premier League clash.
In the high tempo match, Manchester City got the first goal when Sergio Aguero poked the ball into the net early in the first half.
That was, however, how good it was for the visitors as Manchester United took the initiative from then onwards scoring four goals before City reduced the deficit to 4-2 late in the game.
Manchester United’s revival was kick started by Ashley Young who scored in the 14th minute before Marounne Fellaini put the Red Devils ahead in the 27th minute.
Second half goals from Juan Mata in the 67th and another from Chris Smalling in the 74th minute took the game off the reach of City who did pull a goal back through Aguero. But that was not able to deny Manchester United the bragging rights over their neighbours.
In Sunday’s other EPL game, table toppers Chelsea consolidated on the number one position following their hard-earned 0-1 win over relegation haunted QPR.
