The wife of Nigeria’s Vice President, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, has advised parents to work towards the intellectual development of their children in order to ensure a better future for Nigeria as a nation.
Mrs Osinbajo gave the advice in Abuja on Friday while declaring open a national quiz competition for secondary school students organised by the Nigeria Police Force.
The event was part of activities marking the 2016 Police Week.
She told the gathering that providing quality education for children would help them inculcate exemplary habits of discipline and obedience to institutions.
Also speaking at the occasion, the wife of the Inspector General of Police, Mrs Agharase Arase, said that the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) under her leadership was vigorously engaged in building children with intellectual capacity to face future challenges of sustaining a peaceful Nigeria.
