Saxophonist, Mike Aremu’s second single this year titled ‘Nigeria Fiful’, is currently generating buzz on his fan base and the release is right on time for the nation’s 57th Independence Anniversary celebrations.
Speaking with Entertainment News on Channels Television, Aremu explains that Nigeria’s Independence Day was the right time to release the song, as it portrays the need for unity in Nigeria.
“The song was inspired by the need of Nigeria to be one, I wrote this song three years ago and it was me thinking about Nigeria and I didn’t even think that this time there would be talks of every group wanting to go their way.
“I thought this is the very right time to release the song and it also inspired by the fact that I grew up in the north and that means I have experienced the life in the north before, all of this Boko-Haram together influenced my writing this song.”
Speaking on his plans for the song, he disclosed that he is working on the music video which will be out soon.
“I have a video which is being animated, there is a video coming out which has a very interesting storyline, the storyline is just telling us that if anything bad or evil happens, the most affected are the women, children and the poor people. That is what the video is trying to portray, ‘Nigeria Fiful’ is definitely coming in the season of Nigeria Independence.”
