Benue Govt. Partners With Army On Infrastructure Development

The Benue State government has pledged to partner with the Nigerian Army to develop internal social amenities in the state with the collaboration of the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering in Makurdi.
Governor Samuel Ortom made the commitment on Saturday at rowing out ceremony of Six SAPPER Generals who retired between 2011 and 2015 from the Nigerian Army School of Military Engineering Makurdi.
On their part, the Army authority assured the host communities of their commitment to service, as the retirees urged young officers to imbibe discipline to enable them attain the peak of their military career.
The state Governor, who was represented by his deputy, applauded the Army for its professionalism and pledged a more rewarding partnership.
Shortly before the boat of the retired SAPPER Generals set sail, the Commander Corps of Engineers, Major General Edmond Obi urged officers to learn from the sacrifices of the retired Army Generals.
