Lagos/Ibadan Expressway: Ogun Continues Rehabilitation, Beautification Exercise

CHANNELS TV
The on-going beautification and rehabilitation exercise being embarked upon by the Ogun State government along its portion of the Lagos/Ibadan expressway is taking shape.
When Channels Television visited, it  observed that work had advanced rapidly as machinery, as well as men of the state’s Ministry Of Urban And Regional Planning, have been deployed.
The Lagos State Government has also concluded the construction of the Berger pedestrian bridge, in response to yearnings from residents to enable pedestrians navigate both sides of the ever-busy bus-stop.
This has further enhanced the appearance of the Berger-Kara axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
The on-going environmental exercise is not going unnoticed as residents have expressed their support for the project ‘Go-Green’, meant to beautify parts of the state, especially the Ogun portion of the Lagos/Ibadan expressway in line with international best practices.
Ogun State South-West Nigeria, is a gateway state as it is an entry point to many parts of the country.
As an emerging economy in the country, the state has ensured that it creates a right first impression to visitors in and out of its borders.
This may have informed the current efforts of government around the Berger-Kara axis, as the entry point to the state from Lagos.
