There are still some details for the Stamford Bridge side to iron out, but it seems that they are perhaps only hours away from completing their fourth signing of the summer.
Chelsea have had a €25 million offer accepted by Inter for Marcelo Brozovic but have yet to agree personal terms with the player, Goal understands. Sources close to Inter and the player have told Goal that it is "extremely likely" that an agreement between the player and Chelsea will be resolved before the transfer window closes on August 31, with talks ongoing. Brozovic wants a substantial pay rise as part of the deal to move to London and has made his financial demands clear to both Inter and Chelsea.
The Premier League side will not offer any players in part exchange for the 23-year-old. Cesc Fabregas, whose long-term future at Stamford Bridge is in doubt, had been linked with a potential move to San Siro. Meanwhile, the Serie A side must raise funds after the recent moves for Gabriel Barbosa and Joao Mario put them at risk of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. The Croatia international is a versatile midfielder, who featured in 32 games for his club last season and played for his country in Euro 2016.
