The Southwest leadership of the Labour Party has warned the National Chairman of the party, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, to stop parading himself henceforth as the leader of the party.
This was the resolution reached at the end of an emergency meeting held on Tuesday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital in Nigeria.
The party members said they have also suspended the Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, whom they said was trying to stage a comeback to the party.
They explained that it was part of efforts being made to sanitise the party and reposition it for future election victory.
The meeting was attended by the leaders from the zone including the acting Labour Party Chairman in Ogun State, Abayomi Arabambi, and the state secretary, Ogini Olaposi.
