The National Chairman of the Young Democratic Party (YDP), Ezekiel Nya-Etok, has said that Nigeria’s politics has taken a dimension that has to be reviewed again.
He mentioned that the issue of card readers should be taken seriously and emphasised that results were one area that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should not make mistake on.
Speaking as a guest on Sunrise Daily, Mr. Etok gave his opinion about the rerun election that was conducted on March 19 in Rivers State, stressing the need for the electoral body to make its process more efficient.
He further compared the 2015 election in other parts of Nigeria and said the situation in Rivers State was a “war situation” between the present governor and past governor.
He advocated for a different practice of politics in Nigeria to avoid a repeat of the situation in Rivers State which he said could have been handled in a more civilised manner.
Mr Etok also spoke on the need for internal democracy to be practiced in Nigeria.
