channels tv
A team of 180 Royal Navy sailors are set to storm Nigerian waters on board one of the Type -23 Combat Vessels in the United Kingdom (UK) Naval Fleet, HMS Lancaster.
The UK Defence Attache in Nigeria, Col. Dominic Fletcher, said this at the Western Naval Command in Lagos State, where he was received by the FOC, Rear Admiral Ralph Osondu.
Col. Fletcher observed that the arrival is to strengthen an already existing relationship between the two countries’ naval forces and also boost capacity to combat maritime insecurity.
Meanwhile, Nigeria and China have continued to enjoy a mutually beneficial relationship between the Naval Commands of the two countries.
Both countries took a step further in military exchange programme, with the successful completion of a four-month training programme for men of the Nigerian Navy.
