Intensify Search For Chibok Girls, Reps Urge FG

Channels Tv
The House of Representatives has urged the Federal Government to set up a situation/control room to search for the 219 Chibok girls, who were abducted by Boko Haram insurgents.
This was part of the resolutions adopted by the House after considering a motion by the lawmaker representing Chibok in the House, Asabe Bashir.
Bashir, in her motion, noted that major efforts being made to rescue the Chibok girls have not been known to their families and this has continually worsened the pain they have been passing through.
While emphasizing the role of the government in protecting the lives and property of Nigerian citizens, she asked that the rights of the schoolgirls to freedom be made priority.
The House of Reps then urged the Executive to publish the report of the presidential fact finding committee on the abducted Chibok girls.
The executive was also encouraged to offer a financial reward for any information that would lead to the rescue of the girls.
