The People's Democratic Party, PDP in Plateau State has received into its fold sixty one returnees who left the party for other parties in recent years.
Welcoming the returnees and their supporters back to the PDP at the Nefur Arena in Pankshin, Governor Jonah Jang urged them to bring their experience to bear in order to add value to the party.
Represented by the commissioner of Education Paul Wai, Governor Jang reminded the returnees that the party leadership in the state still maintains zero tolerance to indiscipline.
Also welcoming the sixty one returnees, PDP acting chairman in Plateau State, Raymond Dabo said only those who went through due process were received at the event.
Former governor of plateau state, Senator Joshua Dariye and a former deputy governor, Pauline Tallen who were at the reception were however not among those who were received.
The duo said after following due process for their return, they remain members of the PDP.
According to chief Joshua Dariye, he has already been received by the party at the national level so this ceremony is "for those who just returned yesterday".
But Dame Pualine Tallen feels there is a foul play somewhere. She said has followed due process for her return to the party but the gimmicks that played out at the reception was laughable. Tallen who is gunning for the senatorial seat in the southern zone said she and other returnees were duly granted waivers at the national level and was confident to make her impact felt within the PDP.
Party supporters from the three senatorial zones in plateau state converged in their numbers at the Nefur arena venue of the grand reception.
