Al-Makura Picks Up PVC, Urges Citizen’s Participation In Electoral Process

As the Independent National Electoral Commission commences the distribution of Permanent Voters Cards in Nasarawa State, Governor Tanko Al-Makura has called for mass participation in the electoral process.
Governor Al-makura made the call in Lafia shortly after picking up his PVC and holding a meeting with INEC officials.
He described the processes as smooth with adequate logistics to enable people of the state participate in the process.
Mr Al-makura urged the people to ensure they collect their PVCs and encouraged those yet to register to take advantage of the three day exercise which ends on Sunday, November 30.
INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the state, Ahmad Makama, had declared on Friday that the PVCs were ready for distribution till Sunday.
Speaking at a meeting with all political parties in Lafia, Makama said that arrangements had also been concluded on the commencement of Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) in the state, which has been slated to take place from December 3 to 7.
He added that INEC  had made adequate provision for security to ensure a hitch free exercise.

He said, “We are collaborating with the security agencies in the state to ensure that adequate security is provided to ensure protection of lives and property during the exercise.”
