Abuja - Indications have emerged that at least six ministers in the cabinet of President Goodluck Jonathan will quit their ministerial appointments in the coming weeks to vie for elective positions in 2015, Punch reports.
The ministers believed to have governorship ambitions in their respective states include Senator Bala Muhammed (Bauchi), Labaran Maku (Nasarawa), Emeka Wogu (Abia), Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Dr. Samuel Ortom (Benue) and Senator Musiliu Obanikoro (Lagos).
The President’s Special Adviser on Performance, Monitoring and Evaluation, Prof. Sylvester Monye, it was gathered is also vying to become the Delta State Governor after Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan.
Their impending resignation will consequently lead to a major shakeup in the Federal Executive Council.
