Teen stopped from flying to arranged marriage

news24
Sydney - A 14-year-old girl and a male relative were prevented from leaving Australia for a suspected arranged marriage in Lebanon, it was reported on Sunday.
Reports said the girl was being taken by her uncle to Lebanon where her family had arranged her marriage to an older man, the Sydney Morning Herald said.
Customs agents and police stopped the teenager and her uncle at Sydney Airport after receiving a tip that she was being taken overseas to be married.
The move by authorities comes as Islamic State mounts a social media campaign to recruit young brides to wed its fighters.
Immigration Minister Scott Morrison called forced marriages "an assault on Australia's values."
