Lagos mourns prominent insurer Olowude

Abuja - Lagos State Governor, Babatunde Fashola, has commiserated with the wife, family and insurance professionals in the country over the death of renowned insurance practitioner and entrepreneur, Remi Olowude.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media Hakeem Bello, the governor described the passage of Olowude as a great loss to the insurance industry in particular and the world of entrepreneurship in general.
According to the him, Olowude contributed in no small measure to the development of the country’s insurance sector and indeed, to the creation of economic opportunities for the teeming skilled workforce in the industry.

Fashola condoled with the widow, the family and the entire staff, board and management of the insurance industry on behalf of the Government and people of Lagos State.
He prayed to Almighty God to grant Chief Olowude’s soul sweet repose and to abide with all members of the family left behind.
Olowude died of an undisclosed sickness on Saturday in the United States of America.
