According to residents, the terrorists invaded Shaffa and wrecked havoc before storming nearby Shindiffu Village on Thursday.

Shaffa is in southern part of Borno State, about 20 kilometres drive from Azare, the headquarters of Hawul local government council.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Gideon Jubrin confirmed the attacks on Shaffa and Shindiffu villages.

He lamented that the in-accessibility of the area could not allow him the opportunity of getting briefed on the details.

“Yes there was an attack on some villages of Hawul Local Government Area by suspected members of Boko Haram but I am yet to get details due to lack of telecommunication services in the affected areas,” he said.
