Nigerian Police Assures Retirees Of Safety Of Funds

The Nigeria Police Force Pensions Limited has assured police personnel that the funds for their retirement is safe and is being judiciously invested.
A Director of the Pension Board and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr Ibrahim Mohammed, also stated that pre-retirement workshops have been organised for police personnel that will be retiring before the end of the year so as to prepare them for the challenges ahead.
Police personnel scheduled to retire from the police force between July and December 2016 have been going through workshops and seminars across the 57 police formations and commands in the six geopolitical zones across the country on different vocations that they can engage in after retirement.
Mr Mohammed was speaking at the workshop organised for police personnel from the north central zone, which took place in Jos, Plateau State.
Participants at the workshop were tutored on fish farming and other business opportunities that they can invest in when they retire.
The Managing Director of NPF Pensions Limited , Mr Hamza Wuro Bokki expatiated on the scheme and what the retirees stand to benefit from the workshops across the country.
One of the participants, Mr Benjamin Onoja Enogela expressed his views on the initiative of the pensions board towards preparing them for retirement.

With assurances given by the Nigeria Police Force Pensions Limited, the retiring personnel and beneficiaries of the scheme were advised to embrace the pre-retirement training sessions and maximise the knowledge acquired for proper investment after retirement.
