Nasarawa State Governor, Tanko Al-Makura, said that he is optimistic that the new acting Inspector General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, would bring positive change to security issues in the country.
Mr Al-Makura said this during a special courtesy visit to Mr Idris at his office in the Police Headquarters in Abuja.
He said that Mr Idris would introduce policies that will improve security situation and reduce crimes in the country following his track record as the former Commissioner of Police in Nasarawa State.
The Governor expressed appreciation to the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari for the appointment, noting that it was well deserved.
Responding, the new Acting IGP appreciated the visit and promised to do the nation proud in terms of protection of lives and properties.
