The leader of the delegation and the Southeast Zonal Director of NEMA, Mr Martin Odenya, assured Governor Obiano that the agency would introduce new initiatives that would engender a paradigm shift from disaster management to disaster risk reduction.
He also commended the Governor for the support he extended to State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) as an implementation arm of the Federal Government which needed to functio well for NEMA to succeed.

The Executive Secretary of SEMA, Mr Paul Odenigbo, said the visit would further strengthen the synergy and cordial relationship that had existed between the two bodies in the task of emergency control and management.
