NFF Commends Channels TV For Contributions To Football Development

In line with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Youth Football Development policy launched last year, the NFF 1st Vice President, Mr Seyi Akinwunmi, on behalf of the Board, congratulated Channels Television for the successful hosting of Season Eight of the Channels National Kids Cup competition.
Mr Akinwunmi, who is also Chairman of the NFF Youth Development Committee, also praised the Football Associations of the different States and the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria on the conclusion of the States and zonal rounds of the Zenith Bank/NFF Future Eagles U-13 and U-15 Championship.
Speaking on Tuesday, Akinwunmi equally applauded the joint Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation/Shell Cup venture, midwifed by the School Sports Federation of Nigeria, while acknowledging the tremendous support of these institutions to the growth of youth football in Nigeria.
“We are delighted with Channels TV for their efforts and we are serious with our pledge of taking the best players from that competition on international playing tour.
“These players will also be invited to the screening of the U-13 and U-15 National Teams later this year,” he said.
The Season Eight of the Channels National Kids Cup was won by LGA Mohammed Primary School, Kaduna.
The Kaduna boys defeated Que Iboe Primary School from Kogi State 3-0 in the final played on Friday, May 27 to take a price money of 1.5 million Naira offered by TY Danjuma foundation.

The championship was an NFF Protected Tournament.
