CHANNELS TV

The Cross River State Governor, Mr Ben Ayade, has commissioned an ultra-modern E-Library for the State Ministry of Justice Headquarters in Calabar, the state capital.
Shortly after inspecting the E-library and launching the revised laws of Cross River State, he also approved the immediate employment of 30 lawyers permanently to the state’s Ministry of Justice.
There had been manpower needs in the ministry.
The Governor explained that the employment of additional law officers is so that the work of the judiciary would be enhanced and to make services promptly delivered to the citizenry.
Governor Ayade expressed appreciation to the staff of the ministry for their high level of response to litigation involving the state within and outside the state.
He called on them to make judicious use of the newly equipped E-library to keep abreast of current trends in the legal profession.
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Joseph Abang, also commended the state government for providing a well-equipped law library for the Ministry of Justice.

He appealed to the Governor to look into other challenges facing the ministry in order to proffer lasting solutions.
