The Oluyole Warriors earned their first three points against the debutants at the Adamasingba Stadium in Saturday's only NPFL game
It took Wasiu Jimoh 36 minutes to score his hat trick and consign MFM FC to their first defeat of the season at the Adamsingba Stadium in Ibadan on Saturday afternoon as Shooting Stars earned their first three points.
The Oluyole Warriors shook off early laxity following their opening day 1-0 defeat at home to Lobi Stars. Perhaps it was the fact that they were fresher than their visitors due to the postponement of their midweek game against Enyimba, the hosts took advantage and shone like a million glittering stars.
While MFM were expected to present a huge challenge, they looked mostly jaded and could not create the needed chances to score.
However, it was all Jimoh's day as he claimed an important three goals in front of the vociferous Sooting fans.
His goals came in the fourth, 19th and 36th minutes as he left goalkeeper Emmanuel Fabiyi jaded.
MFM would hope to reorganise themselves after this sudden fall from grace when they take on Sunshine Stars in Agege on Wednesday.
