Osun Doctors: NMA Threatens South-West Solidarity Strike

CHANNELS TV
The South West caucus of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has threatened to embark on systematic solidarity strike across the South-west states.
The threat came as the face-off between the Osun State government and members of the state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association over unpaid salaries and other welfare packages continues.
At a press conference in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the chairperson of the south west caucus, Mrs Adenike Odewabi, said that this became imperative in view of the alleged nonchalant posture of the Osun State government towards the plight of the striking doctors
While highlighting the negative effects of the ongoing impasse between the striking doctors and the state government, the caucus leadership called on the federal government to wade into the crisis before it is too late.
