Ogun State Government has assured applicants in the ongoing Homeowners Charter programme who have not been able to collect their Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) not to exercise unnecessary panic, saying that all applicants would be issued their C of O in due course.
This assurance was given by the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, while presenting Certificates of Occupancy to about 609 beneficiaries of the Homeowners Charter at the arcade ground of the governor’s office in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Some of the beneficiaries who collected their Certificates of Occupancy commended the state government for giving them the opportunity to wriggle out of the challenges associated with collection of C of O and other title documents.
The Homeowners Charter was launched and introduced in December 2013 to allow home owners to ratify their title documents at discounted rate and to help government to plan for developmental purposes across the state.
