The young defender has excelled at the Under-17 World Cup and says he dreams of playing at a club like the Blues, despite their well-documented troubles in 2015-16 thus far
The defender, who currently plays for Jeanne d’Arc FC in his home country, helped Mali to the final of the Under-17 World Cup, losing 2-0 in the final to pre-tournament favourites Nigeria.
And the teenager has now revealed his dream club, admitting in a Twitter Q&A that he would jump at the chance to move to Stamford Bridge.
"I always dreamed of playing in a World Cup for my country," he said.
"I would like to play in a big club like Chelsea.
Dante says he is looking to make the step up to professional football first though, admitting that he has attracted attention through his performances in the competition.
"I want to go and see my family in Bamako after the final," he added.
"After that, if there’s a possibility of signing a professional contract, then that would be the dream scenario.
"This competition has led to me getting a lot of offers, but I need to take one thing at a time."
