Lobi Stars Seek Maximum Punishment Of Sunshine Stars

The management of Lobi Stars football club of Makurdi in Benue State says it will appeal the 250 million Naira fine awarded against Sunshine Stars.
The League Management Company (LMC) had in Lobi Stars’ favour, penalised Sunshine Stars of Akure in a brutal week 36 match encounter in Ondo State, south-west Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview with Channels Television, the General Manager of Lobi Stars, Mr Barnabas Imenge, maintained that the fine handed down to the Sunshine Stars was grossly underestimated, considering the losses his team suffered in Akure.
Mr Barnabas further requested a full weight punishment on Sunshine Stars to serve as deterrent against match related violence in the Nigerian Premier League.
The camera man attached to Lobi Stars, James Sunkeng, said he was brutalised and his equipment which include two cameras, tabs and other personal effects were either destroyed or removed from him, while medical teams battle to save his life.
