South-West women leaders meet Obasanjo in Abeokuta

Some women leaders in Nigeria’s Southwestern states, have met former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his private residence in Abeokuta.
The meeting took place Monday.
The women, led by the Iyalode of Yoruba land, Alaba Lawson, met the former president to discuss the situation in the country, and how to galvanize women for good governance, according to details seen by PREMIUM TIMES.
The meeting discussed how to empower women economically, and how to improve the girl-child education and encourage more women to seek leadership positions in government.
