The Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on the amnesty program, Mr Kingsley Kuku, has debunked reports in the media that the Ijaw nation will go to war if President Goodluck Jonathan was not re-elected into office.
According to him, the President’s kingsmen only expressed concern over the way he was treated during his campaign in Bauchi and Katsina States.
Mr Kuku reacted to the reports in Abuja on Friday, during a forum on how to apply the lessons learnt from the solutions that brought the Niger delta militancy to a calm, in solving the Boko Haram problem.
Aside from this, Mr Kuku also asked leaders from the north-east to take ownership of the Boko Haram problem and end it.
It took efforts of the late president Musa Yar’adua and leaders from the Niger delta region to end the Niger delta crisis.

The organisers of the forum said such collaboration was also needed to end terrorism in the north-east.
