President Goodluck Jonathan has promised to ensure that ‘not less that 2 million jobs’ are created every year, if re-elected into office.
The President, made this known as he campaigned for supporter’s votes in Akure, Ondo State on Wednesday, noting that his administration would achieve the target by supporting Micor, Small and Medium scale Enterprises.
Flanked by his running mate, Vice President Nnamadi Sambo, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Mu’azu and other party dignitaries , President Jonathan said “politics is about the people,” as he called on the crowd gathered to vote for the PDP at all levels.
He further highlighted his administration’s achievements in the areas of power, infrastructure and education, praising the late Gani Fawehinmi, who hailed from Ondo state.
He reminded the people of the YouWin programme which a number of citizens had benefited from, noting that more was on the way, if he is voted for a second term.
