The Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, has began a campaign tour to all the Local Government Areas in the state, wooing supporters and indigenes to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections in the state.
The Governor, who is a member of the APC, maintained that he remained a candidate to beat in the governorship election that will hold in February, as his good record of performance in the last three and a half years remained a landmark achievement in the history of governance in the state.
He promised that if elected into office for the second time, apart from consolidating the existing programmes, he would provide more industries, factories and job opportunities for the people of the state.
At a campaign rally held in Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area, the Governor rolled out his agenda for his second term in office if elected.
The Director General of the Rochas Campaign Organisation, Mr Iheukwumere Alaribe, said the APC was poised to retain the Imo governorship seat in February and ‘nothing will stop the move’.
While addressing his supporters, the Governor said continuity and consolidation would be the watchword if elected for a second term in office.
The governor’s campaign train is expected to visit all the 27 local governments and hold a mega rally in all the three senatorial zones in the state.
