13 people are reported to have been killed after gunmen, suspected to be Fulani herdsmen, attacked lwa, Dum, Rachit and Dyang villages of Bachit district in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Spokesman for the Special Task Force, Captain. Ikedichi Iweha, who confirmed the attack, said soldiers were still conducting a mop-up operation.
Captain Iweha adds that the Task Force has apprehended 82 suspects mostly of Cameroon, Nigeria and Chad within Rikkos community in Jos north Local Government Area of Plateau State.
