The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, has expressed support for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kalu.
Fayose, who was at the Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday “in solidarity” with the IPOB leader accused the Federal Government of intimidating and harassing him and members of the Igbo nation.
He told journalists after Kalu was granted bail that the oppression of people in the country would surely pass.
He said, “I am here in solidarity with Nnamdi Kalu for his courage in the face of intimidation and harassment in our country, a country that belongs to all tribes and to everyone.
“This country belongs to us. This oppression must not continue. God is greater than man. This is a phase in our country and it shall surely pass.
“I salute your spirit Nnamdi Kalu. Keep the hope alive; one day, history will be on your side. I have come to identify with the Igbo nation, the people that are under great torture and embarrassment and harassment. We have seen today, tomorrow the story will get better.”
