A 45-year-old man has been rescued from a 160ft well in Lagos on Tuesday.
The man was rescued from the well at Kujore Street, Ojota by emergency workers and security operatives after they received a distress call around 6:35am.
Operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Lagos State Fire Service, Nigeria Police Force, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps and LASAMBUS were present at the scene of the incident.
Although the man did not lose his life, he sustained a fracture in his right femur and dislocated his knee joint.
He was taken to the hospital for treatment by officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service.
The General Manager of LASEMA, Mr. Adesina Tiamiyu, said it was unclear how the man ended up in the well and investigations were ongoing.
He, however, advised Lagosians to be cautious and report strange activities in their neighbourhood to the relevant Agencies or call the 767/112 emergency toll free number.
