Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano, has commissioned Roban Stores, a private Shopping Mall in Awka, the state capital.
This, he said, is part of his administration’s efforts at creating an enabling environment for investment.
According to him, the administration has attracted investments worth $4.7 billion from 27 companies in the state since the last two and half years.
He opined that the new mall would not only provide a new shopping experience for Anambra citizens and residents, but would also minimize shopping tourism to other states and boost both the economic and social life of Anambra.
The launching of the store in Awka attracted hundreds of people including the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs Obiageli Okeke, other dignitaries as well as the management of the new stores.
The Managing Director of the stores, Mr Robert Anwuatu, commended Mr Obiano for creating a conducive environment for businesses and every other activity to thrive in the state which according to him, had compelled him to bring his wealth into the state.
He assured citizens that his retail stores are for all classes of people while products are sold at fair and affordable prices.
Mr Obiano revealed that Anambra state is gradually living up to the vision of his administration to be the first choice investment destination for investors due to the creation of an enabling environment.
Some residents have also commended his the Obiano administration’s efforts. They acknowledged that the Governor is indeed recreating Anambra state and his administrative policies are suitable to investors and to small scale businesses.
