The American topflight best XI was announced with no place for the in-form Nigerian who plays for the Timbers
Fanendo Adi has been omitted from the Major League Soccer All Stars squad announced on Sunday. The 25-year-old Nigerian has scored 10 goals this season but that has not been enough to secure a place in the MLS squad that will face Arsenal on July 28 as part of the English side's pre-season schedule.
The Nigerian is the third highest goal scorer in the America elite division and was on the score sheet in the Timbers' 3-1 derby win over Seattle Sounders on Sunday to extend their MLS unbeaten streak to nine games.
The squad includes Andrea Pirlo, Kaka and Didier Drogba – with San Jose Earthquakes’ Dominic Kinnear named as manager.
Adi is seeking a move away from the Providence Park outfit who are reluctant to see their valued asset depart.
