Real Madrid players have been celebrating their 11th Champions League triumph with their fans in the Spanish capital.
The players were driven through the streets in an open top bus where they showed off their trophy following their 5-3 victory penalty shootout victory over local rivals Atletico Madrid in Milan.
Thousands of The Whites’ fans began arriving at the Plaza de Cibeles to await the players and celebrate the Champions League triumph alongside their idols.
The players’ bus, adorned with the slogan: “CAMPEO11ES, LA U11DÉCIMA” was welcomed by the chanting fans.
The celebrations peaked when Sergio Ramos draped a Real Madrid scarf and flag around the trophy, and presented the European Cup, high above Cibeles.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive penalty after Juanfran missed for Atletico.
The match had finished 1-1 in regulation time, with none of the sides able to break the deadlock in extra time.
Real’s 11th European title and their second in three years, is coming against the same opposition.
