The three officials of the Osun State Civil Service, who were kidnapped have regained their freedom from their abductors.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Mrs ‘Bimpe Ogunlumade; Director Of State Audit, Mr Tajudeen Badejoko and the driver to the Auditor-General of the State, Mr Oladapo Ajani Arogundade were freed on Sunday.
The Osun State Head of Service, Sunday Owoeye, said that arrangements have been made to convey them to Osogbo within the shortest possible time.
However, no word was said on whether a ransom was paid or not as the abductors were alleged to have demanded a ransom earlier.
The Permanent Secretary and the two others were kidnapped on Friday by unknown gunmen along Obajana in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
They were returning from Abuja where they attended the briefing on the State and Local Government Reforms Project; a World Bank and European Union Programme.
