The United Nations has come to the rescue of Benue State with a $5 million counterpart fund to augment the 2016 budget for project implementation in critical sectors.
The Country Coordinator of the United Nations, who was represented by Mr Samuel Nyambati, at the ceremony to sign the annual work plan with the Benue State Deputy Governor, said the funds will help build hospitals and schools in the state.

The Benue State Government while assuring the United Nations of its willingness to ensure the full implementation of the projects, said the state counterpart fund for the project is already captured in the 2016 budget.
